No Pictures but Here's The Scoop!

Last night the weather guy said it was going to be a perfect day, so 7:30 this morning I headed out to a spot I hadn't been to in quite some time. I no sooner arrived, put my gear on, fired up the X-70 and it rained. So I hung out under the trees for about a half hour and, as soon as the rain let up, I was up and running again. I don't think I hunted for more than an hour and it rained again. Boy...the weather guy sure got his wires crossed! Well...I was soaking wet by that time, so I headed home, put on some dry clothes and had some lunch. After lunch I went back to the same area and hunted for about two hours more. Here's the 'Unusual' part of the story:

In an area no bigger than your averaga dinning room table, I dug 62 pennies, 3 dimes, 1 quarter, three pull tabs and what made the day all worth while was a 1929 D 'Wheatie Penny'. I can't remember the last time I found one of those!

The afternoon was sunny, 75 degrees with a gentle breeze. Thank YOU GOD!
