Unusual medicine bottle

Explorer

Member
Found this small medicine bottle detecting on an old lot. The question is what type of medicine was it used for. It appears to have a begging dog embossed in the glass.
Any one have any ideas.

I believe that is a nursing bottle...there are quite a variety of them that were made...i would guesstamate yours to be from the 1930 - 1940 era... i guess before plastic came into use they would stick a rubber nipple on that thing and feed the baby.. i dont think they have all that great a value but im sure they are collectable due to the wide variety of images that were embossed on them..cool find..

Thanks for the information. It was found on a lot that was bladed by a bulldozer and usually all glass is broken. Even marbles are cracked or crushed but this one escaped destruction along with several marbles.
