Om my earlier post on this coin I had the reverse as Neptune WRONG !! it is OCEANUS God of the Sea it turns out to be the most important find in the coinage of Ellectus

What is the coinage of Ellectus? I'm from America and not familar with ya'lls old coinage..S.T

It was found in the UK and its a roman coin, and a by the looks of it a rare one as well,a lovely find for sure.

Man you guys find the coolest stuff.

Its a one off coin and will end up in the Ashmoloean Museum Oxford England soon.said by them to be of national importance

Brian, must be your find of a lifetime, was that with the Sharpshooter coil on the T2 ??? i reckon that coil/detector combination has become my all time favourite.Very well done on finding such a beautiful rare coin :clapping:

Yes it was with the Sharpshooter coil BUT I would have found it with a broom stick it was right on the surface in plain sight. The NEL Hunter coil arrived today.weather rotten so have not tried it yet.
