Well I finally made the decision to get a new GTI 2500,Im biteing at the bit and cant wait for it to arrive, ive also got the ace 250, so the arsonal is huge now,the ace is at its limit on some of the old miners camps ive detected and i know there is still things a bit deeper and im just scrapeing the surface on them, plus the ground is fairly mineralised an masking targets so it will be interesting to see what is still there, will keep you informed :beers::ausflag:

I think you are going to be very satisfied with the GTI 2500. That new chip in the machines will really help you out with a lot of your mineralized soil. The true all metal mode will add inches in depth to those areas you hunt, as well getting a probable ID. My 2500 has put a lot of new life into many of my old hunting grounds. congratulations on your top of the line Garrett and I am looking forward to seeing your results......

Let us know how you go with it Bazz It would be interesting to know how it goes on gold, if that's something that you choose to hunt. I heard that they do well on coin sized targets in mineralised ground, but haven't heard how effective they are on small gold nuggets.
