We are in the process of making all of the final arrangements. It is such a difficult thing to do and I just want to put it off, to procastrinate. This day has come way to soon.

Today, Brian's blood pressure was low and his heart rate very high. His poor body is slowly shutting down and I think our hearts are breaking at the same rate.

Why?

We may never know the answer. But we do know that Brian has touched more lives in his short life than I will in my lifetime.

He has been a blessing to us, a true gift from God. Thank you Lord, for trusting us with his care. We know he belongs to you and that he will be coming home to a joyous reunion with his Father.

And Poppy is waiting to welcome him home.

For the last year, everytime I have heard these two songs, I think of Brian. He is such a blessing and while we don't understand why he has suffered so, it isn't hard to understand the mark he has left on the hearts of so many. My heart is full of grief as I read this post, but it is also joyous. He will finally meet our Lord and hear the voices of the angels. Poppy has surely been preparing for his arrival. God bless you all.
 
I have never posted on this website before but have been following your ordeal for as long as I remember. I am in awe of your faith in God considering the circumstances. I do not think I would have reacted the same way, rather I would have been angry at how the almighty had let this awesome young man suffer so much. I still can not understand. I hope to maybe one day be as faithful and trusting in God as you and your family. If and when the time comes, may he rest in peace in God's arms forever. My heart hurts for you and all of your family. God bless all of you, Pedro Rodriguez and family.
 
Welcome Pedro to the CMD Forum and for your post to Doug and family! This young man has truly been a blessing and an inspiration to us all, who like you have followed his ups and downs through the years! Just remember that God is All in all and there was and is a reason why Brian was born and has had many trials, for through them he has grown in the Spiritual love of God in Jesus' name and has inspired each of us....He has been and is a blessing and inspiration in all that he has gone through, but his Homecoming with Jesus and Poppy will be the best welcoming for him and then someday he will meet each Christian after the Rapture of the faithful saints, who loves our dear Savior, Jesus, for no one will enter into God's Kingdom without wearing His robe of righteousness and I am sure Brian's is certainly shining bright in the light of His Savior and Lord, Christ Jesus! Thank you Liz for the update and I agree with your post, for you took the very words out of my heart before I read the ending of your update and thanks for the two beautiful songs! My heart grieves for Doug, Carol and Sarah, but rejoices for Brian for he will be with God and will not suffer any more....What a grand reunion he and Poppy will have in their Spiritual bodies until we all receive our immortal ones for living in new Jerusalem City forever more! I will say, that I don't think I will be posting anymore updates. Time is short and updates are very personal. Mike, as our forum moderator, I will leave the updates to you...at your discretion. Of course, if Doug gets a chance to post here or were to PM me and give me the go ahead to post, I will. At this point, I don't think specifics matter too much! We need to be praying this young man home. I know everyone here loves this family and will be remembering them in prayer during this time.
 
Brian and the wjole family are such a blessing to me also.
 
Anytime I feel like complaining about anything, I think about Brian, all he's had to endure and how much strength and faith he's shown... then I feel kinda foolish.

I will Pray for Brian and his Family until he is called HOME to be WITH THE LORD or I May be Called first I don't know,but I do know that I want to MEET This Young Man some DAY WHEN WE ARE BOTH CALLED HOME......GOD BLESS THIS FAMILY. AMEN
