...We are OK here,I was just lettin you know who got to me,got me thinkin I had the worlds worst marriage,etc....We are ok:I pulled me feet out of my mouth, seen my wife, its all past now...CONCERNING MY TRUCK:This is the STRANGEST THING-when I hit that deer-SOLIDLY-It took out my grille, radiator and trans cooler and air conditioning condenser, broke the mounts of both side marker/turn signal lights, they still worked,though-MY HOOD,HEADLIGHTS AND BUMPER WERE NOT EVEN GRAZED BY THAT DEER-Hood still opens and closes;headlights work, werent even knocked outta alignment, turn signal lamps still work-They will have to be replaced,though-Mounts broken.I had it towed into the dealer Friday morning;they said today they got it...my insurance covers a rental car;it will cost me about $1.50 more a day that they cover.Thing is,I HAVE NOT EVEN talked to the ins.Co. yet-They are off till Monday.I had a nice chrome billett grille on there-it got redesigned by that deer, resembles a V now....AT LEAST,nobody was hurt-except for the deer-she tried to get up;but:thumbdown:she didnt survive.

Nothing scares the heck out of me more than seein' deer on the side of the road. One of the guys I used to work with had something like 6 or 7 under his belt. We were going to paint little deers on the side of his car; one for each he hit.

Hey, at least you weren't hurt and you've got insurance. Good thing you were driving a truck and not one of those little tiny hybrid cars.

Regarding your foot in mouth problem, been there done that... nothing tastes worse than shoe leather :)

we were driving from my inlaws house to my parents house so they could see the kids, we were going along a long stretch of country-ish road before we knew it my hubbys hitting the brakes and swerved. i looked up to see a wall of deer standing in the road. missed hittin them by inches. there were about 4-5 of them. 2 of them ran outta the road while the others just stood there. we have deer whistlers on the front of our van. supposed to be that they can hear us coming and steer clear of the road. guess they didnt work as well as we had hoped.

HI wg steve and I knew that things would work out as soon as you got over the scare of the accident and having your wife leave for awhile by your feeling better! Life seems to turn dark when everything looks like it is going the wrong way, but remember if you stay in the loving light of our Lord Jesus Christ.....things do work out for the better! I've been there so I know what it is to be so sad and unhappy that the darkness of the awful situations looked like they would never end, but Praise God they do and He still loves us and will take care of us! Glad you have ins to cover the damages to your truck and I pray your illnesses are healed by our blessed Savior, The Great Physician, Who never leaves nor forsakes us! God Bless! Betty

Any serious accident or close call knocks us a little goofy, like me. Welcome back to the Lord's highway; it will always have a few rough spots in it but when you reach the end it is smooth sailing..
