UPDATE: In between running...

Pete in MI

New member
Yesterday Sherry came into the living room complaining of a headache worse than she had ever had. While I looked for some Excedrin, Sherry sat and talked to me.I checked the internet for headache - worst ever and found this:

Brain Aneurysm
http://www.webmd.com/brain/tc/brain-aneurysm-topic-overview

Another symptom was nausea.

I started hearing her say "Oh no, Oh No" over and over. I looked over and she was shaking uncontrollably....I called 911!

On the way to the hospital I called Mike from MI asking for prayers from all. (Thank you Mike!) Made a lot of calls to church and other family members on the way to the hospital.

At the hospital, the ER doctor said she had a stroke. A catscan was done - results were negative.

They did a spinal tap - results negative.

Still Sherry was shaking (now just one hand) and still saying "Oh no".

Next test was to be an MRI. I'm leaving a lot out of this. As she was rolled out of the MRI room on the guerney, Sherry spoke "Casey", "Pete" over a couple times when she saw us.

Then she was talking almost normal since that point. She is still in the hospital, I am at home. I could not get on line at the hospital and will be off line again very soon to get other things done and get back to the woman I love.

They still have no idea why she suffered a stroke. Cannot explain why they cannot see the stroke in the catscan, the spinal tap or the MRI. She is progressing well. Her headache is slowly subsiding with medication and the nausea has finally passed from her.

All I can say at this point, is THANK YOU FATHER GOD AND JESUS AND THE HOLY SPIRIT. Thank you for your prayers, please keep her in your prayers. Thank you and may God bless you all as much as He has blessed me in the past 24 hours. = and that is ALOT!

We are expecting Sherry to be released tomorrow. The doctors still want to try to find what set this off.

when I arrived Sherry was in pain again..had an ultra sound being done on her heart...she said the pain was as bad as yesterday in her head. Though she is still able to talk I had not expected to see her in this condition. Our Pastor arrived (sent him a copy of what I had posted here earlier today so he knew what was happening...the last I knew) and when things finally settled down we prayed over Sherry. She is resting quietly now. She has IV stuff for the pain in her head and one for nausea. She also got a flu shot which I think would have been better to wait to find out why she is having these attacks.

A key element is movement....any movement whether raising the bed up or moving it within the room to accomodate equipment seems to trigger these painful episodes.

I am glad she is here and not home at this point. Sure hoping they find the cause and a cure for her pain.

That's about all from here and now at the bedside.

Thanks for the prayers....she is not 'home' yet in many aspects of the word.

Blessings all

Pete

Praying, Pete, for Sherry's correct diagnosis and healing for what is causing her the pain and nausea. May God perform His miracles on her and give you both peace and comfort that passes all understanding to know that He is in control of everything....even you and Sherry.

I have had similar systems for quite sometime which is in the front of my head between my eyes and in the back of my neck which causes nausea and this morning my room was spinning around like a Merry-GO-Round when I arose and sat on the edge of my bed, as I couldn't get all the way up or I would have fallen! I don't tell my dr all of this because he is a pill pusher and I cannot affort the time nor the expense of going into the hospital for tests, so if you find out what is wrong with Sherry please let me know, so I can have an idea what is causing mine! I believe it is my Carotid Artery that is blocked in the back of my neck causing the problems or I have sinus infections too often!

Anyway, I pray with all my heart that Sherry's problems will be healed by Dr. Jesus or by the Drs on earth with godly wisdom and His guiding hands! Amen!

God Bless!
Betty
