Update on Brian......

Rough couple of days.....

Monday and Tuesday were good days as far as the pain with his tumors, although the stomach issues were still rough, and then on Wednesday night, I was up all night with Brian having extremely severe pain with his tumors in his face, we were up all night, the nurse came by on Thursday and suggested we start this new drug,beginning Thursday night, Carol and I gave him a good bath that night hoping he would feel better,but the whole time he had to push his bolus on his pump three times because of his pain and still fighting his stomach problem.

We gave him his first new meds that night and then the terror started, I was up all night with him,he started throwing up, and could not sleep at all for the throwing up, we called his nurse, and she came by, and stopped the new med, and is changing the med again to a new one, probally starting on Monday.

He has slept all day Friday,literally,requiring us bedside attention,to watch his breathing and suctioning his trach if he needed it,he is still having bowel issues, his stomach is very distended which adds additional discomfort.

Late Friday night, Carol and I were changing his bed, and he woke up and took our hands on either side of the bed and he pointed up in the air and I said a prayer for comfort and peace for Brian and then he went back to sleep and has slept peacefully all night.

GOD IS GOOD!!!

Thanks Liz for posting the update on Brian! This young man and his family have had untold trials because of his disease and illnesses! Doug, my prayers are still with you and Brian and I know when God's timing for him to come Home to be with his Savior, Jesus, it will happen, but oh how we sometimes wish he would hurry up and get us out of this sinful world and be in His peace and comforting love forever more with no more pain or sorrow! Prayer for Brian from you and Carol were answered and brought him sweet peaceful sleep for a little while but I pray that he would be released from all his pain caused by his disease and illnesses! Our Lord is merciful and I pray He is merciful to Brian and relieves him and each of you from your trials and brings more sweet peace and rest to all of you whether it be here on earth or by his spirit going back to God Who gave him life, for He is our Creator and we belong to Him, although we seem to suffer in our sorrows and sicknesses, it is not His desire for us but satan is the one who causes all suffering because he comes to steal, kill and destroy all that is God's but through prayer and leaning on and trusting in Jesus he can not take Brian's or our souls! The evil one has already been defeated at the Cross of Calvary when Jesus gave all of Himself for us that we might be saved and with Him eternally! We, who are saved, are the Victor's in our Lord Jesus Christ! Amen! Gamma and Ma Betty

God knows the agony I'm going through but, when I think of what Brian's going through, my pain and suffering doesn't seem to be much by comparison. You all remain in my prayers.

Man, Brian is one tough dude. I am always amazed at his courage and strength. Our prayers continue for him and the family.
