Update on Brian......

I talked with Doug today and Brian was about two hours later than expected getting into surgery. The surgery lasted several hours. Doug called me when it was done and the Dr's reported that he will have a permanent trache. This was something that Brian was hoping wouldn't happen. Doug had very good spirits and was praising the Lord that Brian will breathe good again and he is ok. Looks like he will be in ICU a couple days and then he could be at the hospital one to three weeks.
Please keep tham all in your prayers and keep sending those pages!
Doug and the family says thanks for all the prayers!
Doug or I will update you again in a day or two.

praise God and give Him the glory...like Doug...that he will be able to breathe better! God is in control and He knows best! Praise His Holy name, Jesus!!

God Bless!
Betty (Ma)

...thanks for passing on the update on Brian. They gave him a sedative so he'll sleep through the night.

Thanks for your prayers...he survived the surgery...and that was our greatest fear. We can live with the tracheotomy, and Brian can breathe and now get a good nights sleep for the first time in a month. The only hurdle left to cross is the fear of infection. He will be on an antibiotic via IV for at least a week, maybe two.

We appreciate everyones thoughts and prayers. The pager quit working an hour out of Knoxville so it must have been set up locally only. But we don't have to hear the beeps to know you guys are praying!!!

Have a great night!!

somehow God will get glory from this and Brian is still alive and with his family here. Brian will still be able to use his ACE 250 when he is back on his feet too so guess I am saying it isn't all bad news. May God continue to bless Brian and the family too for all they have gone through for God's glory.
Get well soon Brian.
