Update on Cliff and me................................

He is still not very well and after taking anitbiotics (Z Pak) I called today for a refill! He has infection in his lungs and coughs up yellow phlegm! Federal Express is bringing him his EXPENSIVE medicine Tuesday to start taking and he will be taking 2 a day (12 hours apart) for 30 days and then I guess he will get more for the next month! We are hoping and praying that the med makes him better and doesn't mess up his liver! If he starts getting yellow in the eyes....he will have to quit taking it! If it doesn't help....he will probably not be with us for very long! But God is amazing and He answers the prayers of His Children who glorify and give Him praise!

Please pray for his healing or to feel much better and also for comforting strength, as his cat, Princess, passed away yesterday afternoon, but she was 20 years or older and has been with him all the time! I took her to the vetinarian where my daughter-in-law works to have her body cremated at the cost of $40.00 She was his baby and Cliff loves animals and wouldn't hurt none of them except to hunt for food to eat! He likes deer, squirrel, opossom, fish and most sea foods! And me I don't care for them very much, but I'm not a meat eater!

I am doing some better and been doing a lot for Cliff! Now I need to clean his room and get all the cat things cleaned and given away or sold! Thanks for your prayers! WE appreciate all of our sisters and brothers in Christ! God Bless! Betty

ma, will be praying for cliff and for you!!! instead of getting rid of the cat stuff, get cliff another kitten.

Hi Seeker41 We still intend to move and he is unable to take care of an animal now and I don't have the energy either! His room needs cleaned, painted and carpet removed, we were just waiting until Cliff felt better or his cat no longer was in there. Right now he doesn't need anything or anyone to see after, for he is too ill and weak! But maybe later on, if the med he will be trying does help him to feel and get around better! We will just have to wait and see what happens with him taking Tracleer....very expensive medicine! He is 72 and I will be 74 soon, so taking care of ourselves and each other is about all we can keep up with these days! Thanks for the suggestion of a kitten anyway! God Bless! Betty

I'm praying for y'all, Ma. I hope Cliff responds well to the medicine and that you are able to tend to him with ease. I'm sooooo sorry about the cat! That breaks my heart! We have a cat (Sadie) who lives in the house and I know I would be completely devastated if something happened to her!!!!!!!!! We have 3 Siberian Huskies who are inside at times and outside at others. I would feel the same way if something happened to one of them. I am definitely an animal lover! Well, except for snakes and lizards!

Lisa

Thanks for your prayers everyone!

And thanks Lisa for your kind words....I don't like SNAKES either and as far as lizards...I wouldn't have either as a pet! The Siberian Huskies must be beautiful animals! I lost Tony, my deaf white, long-haired Persisan Cat in July of 1997! Cried deeply for a week! Like to have broken my heart but he had a kidney disease and was ill! He passed away at 13 years! Cliff's cat lived for a long time (20 years) and she was so pretty...black and white with large beautiful green eyes! He misses her as she slept with him and when he was restless or not breathing good, she would nudge him awake to make sure he was okay! Princess definitely was his cat....she finally let me pet her after I fed her while he was in the hospitial! Boy, did she yowl for him, when he was away too long! She would look at him with adoration! He would say, What do you want baby and give her a few treats or feed and water her or petted her!

He had a Chihuahua named Tara but she passed away in June of 2008, the Sunday before Father's Day! She was good too and such a gentle and sweet dog! He loves animals and would get another one if he was able to take care of them! I haven't had a pet since Tony died, as I was more ill back then and couldn't take care of another one! I used to cough and cough all the time, until I started taking Advair and when I became Alergic to it, I now use ProAir or Symbicort! When I have congestion or a really bad cold, I do a lot of coughing, but not like I used to do! Couldn't even talk much on the phone without coughing! Coughed when I went to church or other places! I'm sure I was really annoying to others trying to listen or shop! But I couldn't help it and was aggravating for me also!
Thank you again for your prayers and I pray all goes well for you, your family and your animals! God Bless! Betty

Thanks Doug and prayers are going out for each of you, also! Hope you get to go :detecting: and fishing again soon! I think both are addictive when you can get out and do either one or both often! I don't care for fishing but Cliff does, but I sure liked going out and swinging and digging for treasure and of course lots of junk too! God Bless! Betty

:garrett: Hello Betty,

May God's will be done in Cliff's life today and always. My prayer is that our loving heavenly Father will do a miracle for Cliff and return him to complete health. Several years ago, I contracted leukemia and I know, all too well, what it's like to have lost my health but I also knew God would heal me. Either He would heal me now or on the last day, when Jesus returns, but either way He would heal me. He chose to heal me then and I will forever praise Him for His goodness toward me. He is a gracious God & Father and He will do what's best for you always. We cannot see beyond today & don't know what tomorrow brings but we do know Jesus is always with us by His Holy Spirit. NEVER GIVE UP!!!

In God's Love,
Martin B.J. B.

I'm new to this situation, but sending some "new" prayers.

Hey Ma. Praying still for you and Cliff. God will give him and you strength. There is a purpose in all we go through, and only God knows why. It is all in His will and timing.

Thank you, SeniorSeeker, for your nice post and YES I know God will heal us now or in the rapture of His saints! We shall have a new body that will never get ill or fail us! An immortal and incorrupitble one! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, and Holy Spirit! Cliff is on his new med now and will just have to see how he does and watch for any yellowish to his skin and eyes, if it should affect his liver! He is doing just a little berter but tires very easily! He went back to bed this morning and had a good sleep which he needed! He wakes up too much at night and he doesn't get enough rest and deep sleep! But he doesn't have to work...sooo that helps for him to take it easier!

 God Bless! Betty

Thank you, Philo, for your encouraging words and prayers! I know God will never forsake me, but we can forsake Him, but I know what He has done and will do in mine and Cliff's lives, so I never intend to forsake Him, as I love Jesus too much and I know for sure that He loves me and all His children, who accepted Him as their own, personal Savior! Praying also for you and your family! God Bless! Betty

Thank you all again for your prayers and may the Lord bless each of you mightily! Our faith is in Jesus, and I know He will never forsake us! What will be, will be, for whatever God's will is we will accept, but I know He wants His own to be well and serving Him, faithfully! God Bless! Betty
