Update on my ring

Well i took my ring to the jewerly store that i found at Virginia Beach and turns out i have treasure and trash.. The ring is 18 K gold but the stones are cz (fake) The lady could not believe that the stones were fake and she polished the ring to make sure that it was not gold plated. She told me that the gold is real and that it is about 1/2 ounce of gold so the ACE 250 paid for it self on that find.

I can't believe they would put a CZ in an 18 KT gold mounting but stranger things have happened. Did she do an acid test on the gold? Lucky find.

I can. I have bought and sold a lot of vintage jewelry. CZ's are everywhere. 1/2 oz of gold is worth a pretty penny. Here are a few quotes from your first post about it.

Congrats:thumbup: Not only a first gold ring but a beauty of a ring. Nice. Have you checked to see if those are real diamonds?

They don't mount phony stones in an 18 KT band.

Oh yes they do. That is why I suggested to him and anyone else to always have a jeweler check your finds:wiggle:

I am still shaking my head. Who uses 1/2 ounce of gold to hold a CZ with a value about 2 bucks? Shoot that's a lot of gold. Nice one!
