Update on Shelby........

Mike from MI "Iron Brigade"

First she went to the ER at 1:30 am Tuesday where she had an IV to re-hydrate her and some meds, and blood work. They thought maybe pancreatitis because of the results of the blood work
She then went to see the Dr. at 2 pm Tuesday. She was sent to the big hospital for an ultra sound of her gall bladder. They did another IV to re-hydrate her again and did more blood work. She was also having trouble with her blood pressure going low when she stood up.
The ultrasound found nothing.
They had her go in Friday for a more extensive test where the ran a machine over her for an hour while they watched some stuff run through her that they put in with an IV. They sent her home and said we will let you know. Well a couple hours later they called and said she failed. She will see a pediatric sergeon next week to schedule surgery to remove her gall bladder.
Please keep her in your prayers.

continued prayers and thanks for the update.

Sure will Mike. Let Shelby know we are all praying for her.

Dear God in Heaven, Father ~ You know each of us, for you made us, and you know our physical, emotional, and spiritual need. Father ~ we come to You in behalf of Mike's daughter, Shelby, and we ask that You protect and heal her and renew her health. Father ~ grant the doctors wisdom, understanding, and a steady hand should Shelby need surgery and please comfort Mike, his wife, and the remainder of the family during Shelby's ordeal. We would ask it in the precious Name of Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen.

Still praying!!! Thanks for the update. Thankfully the DISIDA scan gave a difinitive answer.....medical technology is amazing. Praying that Shelby's gallbladder is removed safely and recovery is quick. Make sure she drinks fluids till she is sick of them....dehydration is probably causing her bp to drop.

my Mom had hers removed at age 42. My first Mother-in-law was scheduled to have hers removed when she was bout 50 something...and came home from the hospital with a baby boy instead.

Not all doctors graduate at the top of their class...some I think buy their diplomas....praying for Shelby and also God will put the best medical team in place and He will guide them.

WOW,Mike-thank the LORD it is nothing more serious-I KNOW,gall bladder surgery IS serious,as any surgery is;BUT I know some folks-some in my own family-That have had the GB removed under out-patient surgery,(my nephew was in his early 20's!!!);and did very well-no complications!!!LORD,Watch over the Walker Family!!AMEN!!!

Glad to hear that there isn't something really serious with Shelby, although gall bladder surgery is hard on many, especially, when older! I had mine before my ex left and sure didn't feel well afterwards but I mended and I'm still living! Praise God for His mercy and His grace! Amen! Ma Betty
