It took longer than the surgeon expected but all went well (thanks to your prayers, the surgeon's talent and God in and through it all).
She seemed to be doing well when I was with her last night at the hospital. I had to return home to care for pets. As of today though I have not heard back from her or her sister who is staying with her so do not know what is going on at this point. Our communication system (her cell phone is turned off to conserve battery life, her sister's phone doesn't ring to let her know I called, and sitting on the internet on Skype and Facebook hoping to hear anything from her or her sister).
According to our plans, assuming all is as it should be, Sherry will be going from the hospital down to Lansing area to be with her sister and family thru Monday of next week so she can mend without a baby bouncing on her or making her lift him and so the dogs do not jump on her either. Also she will have less stress there so she can relax and heal faster.
I do not know anything more at this point. Do not know if she is leaving the hospital today or tomorrow or how she did over night. She is or was on a pain pump thingy for pain relief.
So that's the best I can do for an update at this point. I would be there today if we could afford the additional trip there and back but unfortunately that is not possible. Thank you all for the prayers and BTW Leslie, I had to cut the gold ring from Sherry's finger to get her wedding ring off. She is very happy we could get her wedding ring off without cutting it too. She still cherishes the gift you gave her Leslie - thank you Brother.
