Running on caffeine...

...because I'm not getting much sleep! I was up with Brian until 3am because he couldn't sleep so I need to pump some high test coffee through my veins.
The adjustment in pain med dosages seems to helped some but he still has occasional spikes of severe pain. When I asked if he could pinpoint where it hurts the most he ran his finger along both sides of his jaw and down the bridge of his nose and across his face.
He is still playing practical jokes though. He asked me for more tissue about 30 minutes after I had just given him some. Not being the youngster I once was, but blaming it on sleep deprivation, I said sure buddy. Hey...wait! Didn't I just get you some?? I did...I did...you couldn't have used all that this soon! He held up an empty container as proof. I asked if he had hidden it under his blanket and he gave me an innocent look and lifted his blanket...and no tissue.
I found it under a pillow. And a huge smile broke out across his face.
I love that smile!!

A quiet day

Today will be a quiet day. Nothing is planned other than getting his medicines. He has three more doses and if all his levels look good we will get to go home tomorrow. The P.A came in this morning and said everything lab wise is good.
We didn't know anything about what went on Monday other that we were in lock down for three hours. We could not leave our room. Then the police made a check through the floors before we could open our doors. The one who died worked on our floor as a social worker. She had visited us on our last visit to see if we would need help when we went home. Such a tragedy.
This is all for now. Love and prayers, The Stucky's
