[size=large] I poured over information about scopes for weeks, reading everything I could on the scopes that fit my criteria. I wanted a scope with good light gathering capabilities of at least 44mm to 50 mm objective lens for spotting deer in those first and last minutes of light at dusk and dawn. I wanted magnification power for longer shots as well as close shots so I chose a variable power of 3 to 9. The 1 inch scope tube had to be at least 6 inches to use the mounts that came on the rifle so that knocked some of my choices out of the running as the tubes were to short. And cost was a factor, I can't afford a $1000 to $3000 high end scope, so had to stay in the meat hunter price range... settled on a Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9x50 FireFly on sale at Natchez Shooters Supplies. Anyway I put the scope on and even got it pointed in the right direction, always a plus
