New member
Four of us got out Saturday and a buddy of a buddy found this. My other buddy found 3-69 cals.

That is a sweet find. I still have never found a plate or buckle.

A buckle is a buckle no matter what shape its in. Good finds. CCH

Hey it's a baby US plate. Great find. HH

Hey Richard, Larry acts like he's going to get it repaired.

I think he should leave it as is.

One of Jims buddy's suggested buying one like it in good shape

and displaying them together.

there is a fellow in Christianburg , Va, Leonard Short that does unbelievable work he can straighten what you have to totally restoring it.

only small plate I have dug and it does not have the hooks

congrats again on a tight plate

You are right, the guy does amazing work. He fixed a plate for my buddy Armstrong. Larry emailed him 3 times about a spur without a response.
If I were Larry, I think I would leave it alone but that's just me.

Thanks, Deno

yea I have heard he is hard to get hold to and that he stays full of repairs but he is good at what he does.

Leonard's phone # 540-230-5442

That is a great find! I'd like to shake the hand of the Tinker that has the skills to restore that! What a craftsman he must be!

Another great relic repair man is Roland Frodrigh aka RoFro in Va also. I will personally vouch for him as he is a true master at it and did an unbelievable job repairing my CS spur i found a good while back. Let me know if you cant catch up with the other guy ! cch
