:usaflag:41/2 Hour Hunt Resulted In 46 Targets Recovered :detecting:

As I dug up my third target the sun broke over the eastern horizon this AM and conditions were perfect for a great hunt with a slow, gentle movement of the water and a small breeze outa the north.

Large ground swells threatened to toss Mr Dual Field, Diablo and this OLd Hunter onto dry sand starting at about 8AM

Sand had thinned out a bit in one part of the spot I was hunting and I found a brass wedding band that appeared to be "gold washed" rather than plated.

The most interesting is the 1933 Boston University ring that looks like silver, but I can't tell by the markings.

It's small at about size 6 and seems "layered" as if the inner part could have been gold plated.

There are large initials of a scroll style typical of the era , but they are too far gone to read.

GL&HH Friends,

Very nice CJ. It really would be STRANGE for a university ring not to be gold!! BUT that was towards the end of the great depression so anything is possible. Love the old rings.

I agree SD, when you consider it was during part of the depression era and how little money was availible it's not surprising.

In fact I think it's pretty amazing to find anything of value with a date on it from those years!!
