:usaflag: Dual Field Hunting. After Digging a Pick-Up Load Of Sand and Gravel!! :detecting:

Two hours of hunting yesterday netted me lots of aluminum nuggets, the usual rusty nails etc. and 1 penny!

Two hours today resulted in the same kinda nuggets (From cans melted in beach fires I think!), more nails etc, one nickle and this fine 14K beauty!

You can see the holes I left as the in-coming tide was filling them almost as fast as I could and no-one was walking that close to the water anyway as cold as it is!

The Dual Field and "Poor Man's Backhoe" did it again!

That is the "ring" finger!

When I finished the picture taking I looked back down my series of holes and there was a lady strolling through them like she was on a sidewalk!!

I told her that I hadn't covered the holes as I was sure no-one would be walking that close to the water and she just shrugged her shoulders.

We had a short chat about what I was doing and as always I placed emphasis on the rusty nails and wire I was removing to protect the children and general public.

She was the only person I saw on the beach.

GL&HH Friends,

CJ

PS That is the first and last time I ever left open holes when hunting!!

Hi Ism,

Thanks for your reply!

Had the many hundreds (Thousands?) of hours I spent metal detecting over the years been devoted to working at Mc Donalds or some other low paying job I would have made lots more money, but I wouldn't have had as much fun!!

GL&HH Friend,

CJ
