So Mountain Man, Leanna and I went to a gun range that Greg had permission to be at. He brought his 30.06 and 44 magnum to do a little shooting as well. Here's Leanna shooting my 270. She was shooting at a 4" clay bird at 100 yards away... she broke it. Recoil not as bad as she thought. You can see the shooting stand rise off the table a little bit.

In this picture, she's shooting Mountain Man's 30.06... nice wheelie Lee! It kicks a little more and the boom was quite a bit louder than the 270. Again she was shooting at a clay bird at 100 yards and broke it as well.

Mountain Man and I were shooting his 44 Magnum Blackhawk. Lee said she wanted to try it. I told her what to expect and to hang onto it and not let it come back and fly into her face.

She handled the recoil like an old pro, ended up shooting about a dozen times.

Well, here's my best 3 shot group at 100 yards, a hair over an inch from center to center. I was sighting the rifle in for deer hunting, not target shooting. I wanted the bullets to be 2" high at 100 yards, that way at 200 yards they'd be dead on, and at 300 yards it would be about 2 1/2 " low. I'll try some different ammo next time and see if it likes it better.
