:usaflag: I Am Enjoying The Dual Field!! Gold One More Time!! :detecting:

Two hours of early evening hunting and the salt water yielded another gold ring to the awesome Dual Field!!

This makes number five in only a week's spare time hunting.

It is a 14K ring with a name on it as opposed to initials.

I have been very carefully working out this area, but this evening I decided it was time to make a fast and dirty pass over the a whole area to pick up those obvious signals rather than waste a lot of time digging every weak signal which has so far yielded only odd bits of junk metal and hair pins!

The very first "obvious= strong) signal I got was this ring!!

Sometimes it pays to follow hunches!!

GL & HH Friends,

CJ

PS In all fairness to the other four water machines I have used the rings I found this week could have been found by any of them!

Until a machine comes along that is better than the DF I will continue using it!

Wowwwwwwwww i fund her twin daughter couple weeks ago.

Good shot CJ

I haven't found a better machine than the DF CJ.. but I'll say the Sovereign I just recently purchased comes in a close second ;)

Don't feel alone, djbutch. I've been doing the same thing but I haven't been able to get in the water yet because the scoop I ordered hasn't come yet. Still, walking the wet sand and digging nothing but trash does get old. I have read Clive's book and I'm using the settings that Craig PI gave me and those are working well enough but I'm just not finding anything. I'm beginning to think that only having hearing in one ear may be hurting things too because I can't seem to hear the subtle threshold changes that Clive talks about. This may be hurting the depth that I'm able to detect as well. Hope things get better for you and me both.

Jerry

Well thanks for the hope sure good to kow I am not alone. The book I heard is good I am still waiting for my copy im in NH and he is in Canada and it has been over three weeks now cant figure that out.

Hi Fellow Hunters,

So far those faint signals hace produced bits and pieces of nails, numerous hair pins and screws for me.

I live in hope that I will find a nice diamond ring for the effort of digging one of those signals, but so far no luck!

I have decided to dig only the strong signals and to later investigate the faint tone fluxuations when I have exhausted all the others.

Every ring I have found and written about has been a strong and unquestionable response with no doubt whether or not there was something there!

I dig more than enough junk true, but I have also taken home some goodies!

GL&HH Friends,

CJ

Hey CJ... sometimes with the PI its not even a faint signal... its more like the signal drops out... that was the signal I got when I found the 1892 wedding band down over 20 inches... it was more of a, its hard to describe, a blank spot in the threshold... hope that helps...

Patience Jerry... took me over a week to find my first gold with my first PI I was digging staples down a foot or more or sneaker eyelets... then when that first gold came it was a great feeling... since then I have a lot of gold and I know it wouldn't have been found with a VLF... PIis best in the water or area's torn up that expose bravel and shells on the wet sand... I don't detect just anywhere with my PI... that is what my GT is for and soon I'll be sporting a SEF 15x12 coil on it for added depth ;)

for the words of encouragement. I'm certainly not ready to give up yet. I can also go through some stretches without finding anything with the Sov GT, just don't dig the small junk. Hopefully my scoop will be here on Friday and then I will try some low tides in shallow water. Seems I read in Clive's book that the saltwater enables the PI to go even deeper. Hope to make some good reports soon. On the other hand, I just started hunting again two weeks ago after taking about a year and a half off and have found three 14K white gold bands, one 14K yellow gold chain and one small 14K yellow gold earring with small diamond chips and one tiny 1.5 gram 14K yellow gold band. Really bared down on the area of the small one for a couple of days hoping to find the diamond that may have gone with it but no luck. Also found about $25 in clad. So I'm really eager to get the PI working for me. I've been on the beach every day just about every day. Seeing the finds you two have been making makes me really eager to make this thing work. Thanks again.

Jerry

Guys, Craig has the answer. i have a PI pro and a Dual Field and a Surf PI. I only take the Dual Field to beaches where I know
the loot is deep. I have been working one for several weeks and the goodies are slim, but they are there and deep. I dive or
snorkel so the coil problem many waders have isn't an issue. The Dual Field is too much machine for all around use.

I was thinking about the Sovereign based on your comments. I ran into a fellow in the lane on Saturday who was using a Fisher CZ 70, he mentioned that he also has a Sovereign GT but it doesn't go anywhere near as deep as the Fisher. I'm seriously looking for a dry sand machine.

I know nothing about Fisher machines... all I can say is I love my Sovereign GT and I have found its depth very good in the wet sand and I was able to get a gold ring sitting right next to a big chunk of iron...

Sorry CJ for the hijack...
