While my coffee was cooling this AM I did my usual early morning good deed and picked up some of the debris left from yesterdays thoughtless beach abusers.

Due to the cloudy weather there wasn't as much as usual and after I finished my coffee I warmed up my Infinium and worked a hundred yards of wet sand/gravel.

The new sand scoop I finished a couple of weeks ago worked very well and I found a new penny and an old nickle along with a few thin nails and some wire.

Just as I was going to run out of time and have to start my work-day, I found this little beauty!

Six tiny diamonds and 14K was a perfect way to end the brief hunt!

WTG!:clapping:That Infinium is a gold magnet!:detecting:Congrats!

Hi metalhead,

I spent three hours yesterday hunting a more active part of the beach area as deep as I could wade at low tide ( my shoulder length rubber gauntlets filled with water!!)

I found 1-small split shot sinker, 1-.22caliber bullet, some aluminum slaw, 2-bottle caps, 2-pieces of outboard motor shear pin, and a few odd bits of wire, nails etc.

There was a small piece of gold toned jewelry that looked to be a part of a costume jewelry earring.

The point to this rambling is to let anyone interested enough to read the post know that it's not all treasure finding!

There is putting in time hunting and paying your dues by cleaning out scrap metal and any trash uncovered too.

Fresh air and exercise are always a plus.

Enteracting with people contacted while hunting is what you make of it (I prefer fun!!).

The sum total of all these things is what this hobby is all about for me.

A nice ring indeed!

I had a jeweler friend look at the ring and he told me that it is a "catalogue item" and very common and not an unusual ring as I had thought!

My reply to that is, "Yes it is unusual because I found it and now it is mine!!":beers:
