:usaflag:I will have a brand new SE Pro at my door in a very short time. And I will have a new Andy's Book in my mailbox by the end of next week. And a long winter to read through it. Looking forward to trying it out this spring. I have a feeling that it's going to be a good relationship. Will most likely take the advice of a certain moderator here and start out with the factory settings and tweak it later when I have a better grasp of what it's telling me. After spending so much time at this forum reading posts and taking notes, I am confident that I will master this machine and have some nice pictures of finds to show you guys for 2011. Have a great weekend !!

Trust me...it will be a love -- hate relationship for a while.:smoke: You'll want to hug it when you pop out a deep silver..then you'll want to wrap it around the nearest tree when you pop out a deep nail.:clapping:

It happens brother...you saw my sweet nail I dug in my post:bouncy:

Seriously though. You take your time with it...familiarize yourself with the gibberish it speaks...then turn that gibberish into a language you like...and you will be justly rewarded with some deep silver that no other machine is capable of producing.:super:

Though perhaps most will go south of you.

I just cut another cord of wood this afternoon, before it gets buried. Perhaps next summer we can meet up.

Chris

Now you've done it... say goodbye to whatever spare time you had during the detecting season - you'll not want to stop once that SE hits the ground.

Is it Spring yet????

Have to agree with Bryce, cant tell you how many times I wanted to give up on it. Heck I even sent Bryce many PMs for advice, but this year after my second year with it, it clicked and I love it. Persevere and you will enjoy it. Congrats on your new machine!!

McDave,
I am on the same boat, gonna start 2011 with an SE pro. I'm sure its gonna be a big change from the machine I was using. Gonna be a long winter reading Sabich's book and swinging in the driveway!
Happy holiday season to everyone!!

There are so many good guys here who are willing to share tips...info...settings to try after you get familiar with the machine...advice...opinions...etc...you guys made a GREAT choice.

The question is....Can you keep from wearing out the carpet while you are pacing the floor until Spring gets here:clapping:

Congrats on a good purchase by both of you.
