:usaflag:My buddy Jim got permission to hunt an empty lot right here in town. The only silver for anyone today was mine...so lucky. Found her less than five inches down, mixed with broken glass and a shotgun shell. I thought I was stuck with a "no-date"..until I noticed no stars under the eagle, and then saw that her right breast was exposed..D mintmark...it could only be a 1917 ! And only one wheat penny, but it's a 1915. Another religious pendant and an old fancy hairpin of some sorts. Some clad...and a days pay...life is good.

Winter is just around the corner....time to turn up the heat boys !!!

Nice find Dave. I've found 2 so far and the first one, the date was pretty much unreadable. After about 4 months its actually starting to come in a little. Hope yours does the same.

:usaflag:Thanks. I found a 1928 SLQ in late spring in an area that has been pounded hard. Never hunted out..

WTG on your nice find.

gorgeous.

The SLQ is my favorite coin and I couldn't care less whether it has a date or not. They are just a beautiful coin.

Congrats.
