Look closely and you'll see a tiny space between the stainless clamp and the tray that is the bottom of the feeder.
When I first put the clamp on there squirrels would search up and down for a way to get at the seeds with no luck and then jump down.

One found that by turning its head sideways it could snake its tongue into the tiny space and pull out the smaller seeds laying in there.
Now they are waiting in line!!

And some refuse to wait!!

The next step in the game is to remove the clamp, place several wraps of sticky backed aluminum tape to cover the small gap and then put the stainless clamp back to help hold it in place.
