Naturally I did'nt have my video camera with me at work. But the apartment bulidings that I take care of are sitting on what was once an old homestead dating back to the towns beginnings....1900 would be a good guess. Anyways, the son of the first homesteaders there, who is in his 80's, gave me a little tour last week of where the house used to sit...where the driveway was..etc. Well I finally found some time to look around right where he said one corner of the house was. Found a clad nickel & dime right away. My 3rd coin was a 1910 wheatie. 4th coin, about 4 feet away, was an 1899 Indian penny.....I was beyond excited at this point, but I only had another 15 minutes before I had to pick up my daughter. Now that I'm sure there is more there, I'm looking forward to hitting it again this weekend sometime. The best part, is that I am the groundskeeper, so I have executive permission to detect there.

Ok..now I'll tell you the rest. I went over to a buddy's to help him move a wood stove up to his grandmothers house. House was'nt too old...late 30's early 40's. I got to detect around the front door for about 30 minutes before he had to leave...found a '54-D roosevelt and a 50's wheat.
Quite an extraordinary day considering I had'nt even planned on detecting when I got up this morning.
