From 1982 (please excuse the quality)

Shortly after I sold all the silver I had to free up some space.

From 1983 (includes the finds from '82)

And from 1984 (Total for three years of hunting at every opportunity!) (less the silver I had sold! Maybe as much as is pictured!!)

I never counted silver rings, only gold!!

Last count after three years ---275 gold rings!!!

Gave away a few, returned 33 to the owners and last year sold the rest @ $635.00 per ounce!

Silver-----------maybe fifteen pounds!!!

Factor in the total time spent hunting and the return=maybe $5.00 per hour!!!

Enjoyment from hunting and returning rings----Priceless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah the good old days!!!

GL&HH friends,

CJ

I see what you mean CJ. I think this re-inforces my view of what a great hobby this is...that we can do some good (by returning things, clearing out rubbish etc.) and still have a great time doing it is testament to the hobby itself and the attitude of the majority who take part in it. Keep it going, and good luck. Sapper.

I think someone has been holding out on us! What piles you have there. Fantastic

Keep sending photos

After shelving my machines for over twenty years I decided last year to return to treasure hunting and I have done fairly well.

I can't match the finds of those long ago hunts, but few hunters have done as well hunting the area I'm hunting.

I miss the "good old days", but it is still great to get out there and exercise ones hunting abilities and instincts!

My most recent find is posted in another post.

GL&HH Friend,

CJ

Lots of rings and clad in the past hunts.Congrats !!
You did well .If you'd have stayed hunting till now your piles of goodies would have been huge !

Check on the PI Forum, Eric Foster has some pretty interesting comments:clap: on Garretts masterpiece.
Think I'll keep mine fer sure now!

Hi Joel,

There is no clad in the pictures!!!

It is all silver!!

When I sold it this past year (And it was only about half of the total as I had cashed in some early on) it was a lot of money!!

Rare today to even find silver!

GL&HH Friend,

CJ

Thanks Friend!

Being in the right place and time with the right equipment makes the difference!

A little luck helped too!
