Thanks Richard, my email is not working. I have to work at four so will contact you tomorrow. Just a question about the Pro pirate, is this a good water machine? I have never heard of it. I was looking at getting the Garrett seahunter 2, I could get it for around $470.00. Is this a good deal or is the one you have better. Sorry about my questions, but you seem to be the pro. Melissa, thanks for the kind words but pro I'm not, I am a user just like the others on this forum....
Garrett has made a VLF and PI Sea Hunter and you need to find out which one it is.....the VLF machine will give you the ability to discriminate more while the PI is limited in that area.
Here is what the Detector Pro website had to say about the Pirate:
HEADHUNTER PIRATE was engineered to perform best in all environments: fresh water, salt water, and on land.

To be honest, I haven't hunted salt water with either of the 3 machines so I can't give a good answer.
On the pricing, the Pirate Pro is priced very well but at $470 if the Garrett is clean with little use, then the pricing too is good.
