Used Infinium Advice

You don't see a ton of these units for sale used but when you do are there any issues to be aware of? Has the model changed at all since it's introduction, weather sealing, battery condition, testing if possible. Coils options etc. Anything to stay away from upon inspection or advertised condition.

Best to buy it, send it to Garrett for them to check it out. I did that and there was a firmware mod.
Because the detector was less than 2 years old...NO CHARGE.
Might have an agreement with the seller that if there is a charge...he pays / splits the cost...what ever you can agree on.

You might want to call Garrett first with the Serial Number. With the S/N they can tell you a lot about the specific detector.

Great detector, ATX is about 4 steps above, if you can swing the hefty price.

I've bought 2 used Sea Hunter Mark IIs. Both needed new headphones, as the coiled cord deteriates. The Infinium uses the same blue headphones.
