Using tips in the field

This is a very active forum considering most of us can't get out. Since I haven't even used my C$ yet I have been copying all the info and tips that I think will help me when I get out to try it.
I can't memorize all this stuff so all I can think of is to print it out in some kind of order. This may sound trivial but carrying sheets of folded papers around sounds like a hassle. Does anyone know a better way to take my notes with me?

Hi Nightshift
I do the same thing, I make a post note book, that also has a copy of the instruction manual. I have it tabbed into catagories. I always carry a small note book in my pocket, that has setting info and tips that might come in handy in the field.
I start each hunt by noting my detector settings, site location, and site conditions. This comes in handy, because one time I was hunting a site and my detector had a total melt down, turns out I was on top of a copper vain that was 25' wide by 50' long. I had permission to hunt the site and later I was talking to the owner, who knew about the copper, but did not want the land destroyed to get it.
Another good idea is to carry a small tape recorder to take quick notes in the field and put them in your note book later, or you can go whole hog and buy a pocket computer, it will hold enough information about every detector on the market. TB

You may find a cheap used Palm Pilot useful. I use a older Palm IIIxe .If you have never used a Palm ,you will be amazed at how useful one can be & of all of the programs available for them.. Do you homework though because similiar models have differnt memory sizes .. wildherre
