USN Lock

I've hit a bit of dry spell on finding silver, wheaties and other goodies. Instead, the usual clad is now joined by relics, the latest being a Corbin Cabinet Lock made for the Navy. Three stamped patent dates are 11-5-07; 12-24-07; 4-13-09. Looks like someone took a hacksaw to remove it. It bounced from 36-37-38 in coin/jewelry at just 4-5 inches.
I think the drilled out bullet was part of a bracelet or necklace from the late 60's or 70's and has some leather lace still attached. It rang in at 37-38 at 7-8 inches. It has arsenal markings L C 7 6. Pretty sure it's a .30-06. Thanks for viewing.

Very cool lock Ken. Like Prep, I enjoy finding them as well. Found one yesterday, but it wasn't anything awesome like a USN lock. I have hardly gotten out this month. Been doing a lot of flying.
I know your drought will change soon!
