Usual day for the Mudster...

Up at 5 reading the forums...all of them, pot of coffee, coupla aspirin, feeling fine...off to the coinstar at 7, and at a park by dawn. Running the F70 at 75 sens, -2 thresh, working the trash very slowly, as if the coil center is all I have.. stabbing some deep Q's and dimes.. cool, can run this hot with the coil way off the ground for the surface stuff...found this little 1.3gr stamped "925" on the trail to the outhouses...came in low zink..sort of magnetic, but not really that strong...hit a football field where there was a game yesterday, picked up and ate some candy bars the cheerleaders were tossing into the stands that went neglected...grabbed a bunch of pennys in the gravel by the concessions just to keep the count up and going...watched the sun come up and the World wake up...got 93 coins for 6.94...a typically wonderful day!

Mud, talked to a fellow today out in the field, said he found a gold quarter eagle, of all places, a tot lot, back in the early 90's. He was using a old analog Whites. He painted a gold star on the control head. Said he always uses the Whites and will never part with it.

Hey Rick...not sure about Zeek...It was up near 8k I think...where is he by the way? Steve, its amazing what those totlots can hold...a gold coin? I'm not one for happy dancing a great find, but if I was, that would be it!
