I found this 1889 V nickel in my yard today. It was 55 degrees here, so I got a little detecting time in with my 1350, and was rewarded with this nickel. Its the oldest coin I have found to date.

Nice find. To bad it wasn't a 1913. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=""> I have one of those with the number five stamped on it. Seems back in the old days these were passed off as 5$ gold coins.
