V3i - Ultimate coil - 12" quarter test

Bill_S

Well-known member
Thought I would see if the V3i and ultimate coil could hit a quarter in the ground at 12". I filmed the settings and me burying it with a ruler to 12" but the camera messed up and I did not get any of that footage. I ground balanced the detector before starting. I think the depth was off because I had previously used the 4x6 and did not change the coil selection to the bigger one.

Thanks Bill. I watch almost all of your You Tube videos. I have the V3I with the Ultimate coil and love the combination.

That's very interesting, especially considering that is a freshly buried coin.
What was your gain and sensitivity set at? Was tx boost on?
My Ultimate coil is on its way. I'm very anxious to be able to try it out.
Thanx for posting.
