New member
new v31 user...getting used to all the features but i have the D2 coil and its hard to pinpoint a target..is it out on the end of the coil?? sure pulls alot of targets out of the ground in trash spots....seems the eclipse works the best for pinpointing....use the 4x6 shooter coil for trash areas...works great for that..tnx gregg in ohio

The D2 is a DD style coil. Make sure the VCO is on, by default it is off.

One way to pinpoint is to move left anright and get the loudest signal. Then pull it back until the sound quits. The target is at the front edge.

Another way is go left and right and the turn 90 degrees and do it again. Where the paths cross is the target.

Another way is place a coin on the ground and learn the sweet spot on the coil, which may not be the center.

You might want to reduce your all metal settings a little

Rob nailed it, do what he says and you will be good to go!
