Seems that just like the beta versions of the V4.0 software that were released before it was ready, people are posting and downloading the V4.1 Beta now and finding out that they are having issues.
The V4.1 is intended to address one thing and that is to take care of the occasional lag that occurred when the MI6 pinpointer was turned off and the coil hesitated coming back on. There are no hidden secret features that will only be on V4.1 regardless of the rumors that are being spread.
So unless you feel like possibly being without your unit while it is getting repaired and hope there will not be a charge to correct the V4.1 Beta installation, you might want to wait until the official release. Since you have to reload all your custom settings each time, why not wait and get the one that is endorsed for release by XP?
As far as cost . . . well, if it requires sending it back to France - which the headphones being turned on together in fact does - then the fault lies with the user and not the manufacturer. If you were able to roll back to V4.0 and V3.2 then this is not an issue . . . . the recommendation was simply to wait until the official release of V4.1 is made by XP on the XP site.
Here is a thread of exactly what can happen . . . . . V4.1 Installation Issues
