[attachment 138232 100N-0658.1_DSC.JPG] Vancouver B.C. from my hotel room balcony.
[attachment 138233 100N-0660.1_DSC.JPG] Seaview from the same balcony.
[attachment 138231 100N-0664.1_DSC.JPG] Butchart Gardens was a limestone pit where they mined limestone for Portland Cement. Mrs. Butchart and her aides turned it into this beautiful Garden over many years. This shot is of the "Sunken Garden". Butchart Gardens can also be reached from Seattle. Either way you have to take a ferry to Vancouver Island. The gardens are just outside of Victoria. If you can go, it's worth the trip. The two hours we had there were not enough.
[attachment 138236 100N-0672.1_DSC.JPG] Part of the "Rose Garden". Over 2000 varieties of roses planted here. My wife tried to video them all.
[attachment 138237 100N-0661.1_DSC.JPG] In High School, I was in the play "Our Town", and this flower, "Heliotrope", was mentioned. I have been looking for it ever since, but no one in Texas had ever heard of it. I got seeds for it at Butchard Gardens. It smells great.
[attachment 138239 100N-0662.1_DSC.JPG] Heres where I need the ID help. I tried to find the name of this flower but my camera battery had lost power and I couldn't get a picture to show what flower I was asking about. When I finally got a picture, I had no time to ask the folks in the seed shop. Anyone know what this flower is called, so I can get some seeds?

The tour bus we were on only gave us two hours in Butchart Gardens and then two hours in Downtown Victoria with nothing much to do. Coffee with a friend would have been great. We didn't know until too late of the time schedule.
