VDI's/numbers/tones/signals.

What numbers/sounds/tones/signals/VDI's (Visual Discrimination Indication) gets you excited the most? We all have favorite signals and tones that we are always looking and hoping for and here are a few of mine......
For me swinging an F.B.S. Safari, I get excited when I get either a 29,30,31 solid signal with a lowish tone. I also get excited when I get an 11,12,13 or a 14-15 signal again with a low tone. There are other numbers and by no means do I only exclusively look for those numbers and tones but I find most gold targets within these number ranges. I have found gold rings at 15-20 and 21-27,28 as well but I do get MORE excited when I get a solid signal/tone AND the above numbers What are your 'favorite's'?
Again, I ignore completley the icons and rely mostly on the tones and sounds and not exclusively on numbers.

39, cuz I see it a lot more often than gold. After that it would be 'solid sounding' 6 where I have found small gold rings with stones.

The 39 is the magical number for silver for sure! I do dig 38 and 39's to pick up dimes and quarters and silver rings and targets as well. It is interesting though to note that gold targets can be found everywhere and I suppose if a guy goes to seek silver, he's more apt to set his detector up for silver and the same applies with wanting to find gold. I almost exclusively detect in A.M. and sift through all those tones for those that sound good!

I'm in agreement with KinTN ....and also notice a more accurate tid when using low density vs high density... In additon, often older silver coins ( Barber mints and older ) will show on the graph bar as pointing to the 'i" in silver , as opposed to the "s"... Anyone else have a similar observation ?

Iv'e never took notice of the graph bar indicating silver at the i and will do some air testing sometime. If that's true, that would be a great tip for us! Where I am located, silver coins are hard to come by, not to say they are not around but it doesn't seem like there are too many around, unlike the older parts of the country. I went out and detected for a little while this morning but it's another triple digit day and just too hot out there! It's no fun when it's sizzling hot!
