VID lies, tones lie....

A lot depends on ground conditions and adjacent targets. In heavy mineralization, ids frequently drift regardless of the detector used. Co-located items can also skew ids. Deeper items are also harder to id. These are some universal principles that affect every discriminating detector that I have used. Some handle it better than others, but all have been affected.
