Vintage firecracker packs

Wow, i remember those old 60's vintage M-80's and silver salutes were powerful and loud. The most powerful M-80's as i remember were end capped with cupped'd shaped cardboard. The later one's were end capped with some kind of hard epoxy or something similar and not that powerful or loud.
Cherry bombs were only good for launching by sling shot, loud but not as loud as those M-80s.

I also remember i think it was 3 inch fire crackers with the double wicks. Then there were the cracker balls and pearls.
We also used to put some calcium carbide in the bottom of a gallon paint can with a small hole punched in its side. Pour in some water, pop the lid on, wait a few seconds and put a match to that hole. In addition to a loud report, those paint can lids flew a good 50 or more feet in the air.

The kids today don't know what they're missing.

Got to be careful. A lot of that old stuff is now considered explosives under the BATF. I'm an amateur pyro, so you have to be cognizant of what types of fireworks you can make and what you can't.
