Vintage M-Scope Explorer

Hi all, new here and just got my hands on a well used M-Scope Explorer. Not too sure how it works and I think I'm missing a major component(the handle) but there is an alligator clip included with the original headphones. Any info is appreciated!
 
I’m not familiar with it so I can’t help you with that. Now if you’re not in the hobby and want to be then I’d highly recommend a modern detector. You can get a better detector both performance and comfort wise for a $100 +/- if you shop wise or buy used.
