Vista Smart weight

Member
Hey can someone tell me the exact weight of the Vista Smart with the stock coil? I've heard anything from a little over 2 to a little over 3 pounds. Maybe someone can out one on a digital scale.

It was easy to find at Deeptech.com.
* Searchcoil Type .............................................2D;
* Searchcoil Size......................................11";
* Cable Length (approx.).........................................53" ( 135 cm );
* Audio Frequency( approx.).....................................................780/390 Hz;
* Weight ( with batteries )................... .................(approx.)1400g.;
* Consumption ( without sound, with Booster OFF ).....................43 mA;
* Consumption ( without sound, with Booster ON ).......................52 mA;

1400g = 3 pounds 1.38 ounces

Measured
booster off 88mA
on 110mA

12V x 88mA = 1,056W :(

Does this make the performance of Vista SMART worse LOL :) ?
On the market exist metal detectors with much higher W. Does that make them less reliable ?
Also, in your first post here you should quote what is written in each of our manuals, for Vista SMART - too, and this is:
"DeepTech reserves the right to change the design or specifications of its
detectors without notice."

No. This detector is good, but power comsumption - inconsistent with the specification, as well as function Gain in Vista Warrior:(
