Vx3 and TTF question?

Can the vx3 be set up to run what the etrac users call two tone ferrous mode? Basically just running it with no discrimination and where iron sounds off with low grunt sound and everything else's or non ferrous targets sound off with a high tone. It's supposed to be very good at finding good targets among the heavy iron if you hunt very slowly.

No the VX3 can't change tones, the V3i can do it. All 191 tones can be changed to suit your needs.

Why not download the VX3 manual and look at the chart I gave you the link for?

If you want to hear the iron along with the good targets, you could just open a pattern completely open so you hear the iron, but you'll be listening to 191 tones.

On v3i you can set the tones from -95 to 0 at a low tone and from +1 to +95 a high tone or whatever you want for every vdi I thought vx3 was the same. I think you should check your instruction manual. I hope you could get the help you need. I have mine when searching for coins a bit the way you described a low tone for iron but changing to higher for good targets.

The tones on the VX3 is not adjustable, you choice of tones on the VX3 are 1 or 191, that it.

That's right as I stated and would be the no go for me. Tones were my first adjustment.
