VX3 users

It's a great machine and very easy to use. Although I may be a bit biased as I've had the XLT, two MXT's, and two Classics in the past....:thumbup: Think ahead though. If you are familiar with White's platform (ie DFX or XLT), and have the extra cash, definitely consider the V3i. I traded a Minelab Explorer Se for my Vx3, and definitely would have preferred the V3i. But that's the way it goes.... If you do pick one up plan on staying with one of the stock programs until you have a good feel of the detector. The stock programs cover a wide range of hunting and will get you decent depth right out of the box! I'm not sure where you are located, but if you have mild soil the 950 coil will do you fine. Otherwise, plan on picking up a dd coil for the heavily mineralized stuff. To help with battery consumption I use energizer rechargeable batteries. They aren't as nice as the factory battery packs but it will only set you back $20 or so and will last a solid 8-10hrs per charge. Hope this helps!
