Took my Explorer 2 and W O T coil out today to an old park here in town. Found two clad dimes three newer pennies and a 1964D silver dime . Heres the story part , I was scanning the ground over by some mole hills and my detector sounded off loud and clear silver hit .I looked down and there beside the mole hill was a silver dime sticking out of the ground! I kept hunting a little bit longer and found the mole laying on its back. Must have seen the explorer and W O T coming!

Many places I hunt are mole and ground hog tunnel infested. It's a pain in the butt to swing a coil against many hills and sink some as you walk and step on the tunnels. I was hunting a school a little over a year ago, and got the idea silver hit. This hit was right over a ground hog tunnel, but had to dig it. To make a long story short, I believe the coin must have been right above the GH tunnel. When digging it dropped down into the tunnel. I retrieved a silver Roosevelt dime at about 18 inches at the bottom of the tunnel. It kept dropping down and took me a long time to find it.
