Walk in the Park

Passed a park during lunch and thought what a beautiful day for a walk in the park. Had a few minutes to spare so got out the MX Sport with a 13 inch Detech coil and headed for the basket ball and volley ball courts. First target was this little sweet heart ring down about 4 inches, rang up a solid 10 on the scale in some of the highly mineralized sand around the Boise ID area. Ring is marked 10k and weighs 1.5 grams with the diamond. Any day I find gold is a great day!

It amazes me how small a target the Sport will hit on. This ring any detector would most likely would have hit even in the highly mineralized ground, but I've found foil so small my pin pointer will not react even when touching it to the foil to the pin pointer. Not uncommon for me to find BBs and back of ear rings.

Excellent work!
