to teach me how to find gold with the Deus, Had a great time and learned a ton! One thing for sure, Walt knows the Deus and he knows gold......
Started off with a quick geology observation lesson, looked at this times before but as soon as Walt pointed it out, Bam I seen it....LOL slow learner.
Went to a site and got the settings working and headed out, now here is where I went astray.......I am swinging like I am coin hunting (not fast but not gold speed) and diggin "good" tones as normal, got junk.
Walt decided I needed help to get out of my coin shooting ears and speed fixed and told me about these BB's (bird shot?) and had me swing on it, and I could just hear (No headphones on, snakes) a whisper zip zip, dug it and got a BB. I had a light go on (finally, again slow learner...LOL) and it made all the difference in the world, I got it. Then I worked on my separation skills, getting the micro target out of the dirt and alone in the scoop, again, got it.....
I can not thank Walt enough, he is a great guy, patient (I needed it) and always willing to help. In fact I met Walk a few years ago and a seeded hunt and he came by to ensure we had the detector (old on, not Deus) all set up, gave us tips on the hunt and ensured we was ready for fun, did I mention great guy?
I did not get gold as I sped by them by I got it now and will be back out to my gold! Here is how small them BB's were:
