Hi guys well Yesterday and today were wonderful days here in Mo. We decided to test the new Teknetics T-2 metal detector at a place we were familiar with War of 1812 fort has been available to detectorists for over 20 years and it sure is a fun place to detect... it has been well hit over the years and finds are usually very slow and meager in coming...
I have to say I'm so impressed with the T-2 I cant believe how easy it was to set up and use there.
Most of the finds were 4-6 in. deep we would have found them with any machine but one of the buttons we found was 12. deep it was smaller than a half dime and it rang out loud and clear on the T-2 , we could barely get a signal with my DFX and Minelab on the same target both of those machines had to be tweaked until they were barly stable just to register the button but the T-2 was only at 50% the machine is a relic hunters dream!!
Well we had some really good finds there and we should have continued success with the Teknetics T-2!!!
Steve got a 1781 half reale at 9 in. and I got a 1786 2 reale around the same depth...

Years ago I didn't really care about the proof so I didn't have the cameras and tools that I use today when I want to document finds.
We know the exact location and year of the Battle, and we're not allowed there. But not so far away was the campsites and places where horses were watered at the creeks and rivers.
These 1&2 day away campsites aren't off limit to us now. And sometimes a little homework goes a long way! Just my opinion! But then again I'll do just about anything to get a relic find!
or climb a tree.
