I had got rid of my first F5, the grass always looks greener on the other side of fence. Well after trying a bunch of other detectors,I felt that F5 was calling me back to it.So I have a new F5 number 2. Took it out for first time yesterday (Tue.) I just got it on (Mon.) thanks to good old Richard of Backwoods again !!!.Would you believe I had forgotten ,what I had learned about it.Needless to say my first hunt was learning its little secrets again.Wasn't feeling the love yesterday,it was a dismal hunt a whooping quarter, dime and penny.Anyhow after brushing up on F5 topics here on forum, I went out again today. And the F5 was SMOKING at least for me, today.I went back to my local park that i have pounded repeatedly. I decided to concentrate on a grassy side of a basket ball court where I had seen a bunch of basket ball players sitting the previous week ,taking advantage of one of our warmer days. They had had had jackets and stuff laying around on grass. Now mind you had had hit this place before, with not much luck.A few pennies,a key or two found but in general not a producer area.We had had some rain a day or two back, and the ground was perfect for detecting,I always do good when ground has just the right moisture in it.It was in 50's today as oppose to 60's yesterday. So I hit this little area where I had seen guys sitting before. And the F5 was smoking hot ! I was hitting on multi dimes, pennies and quarters all in the same holes. All in this one area, you should have seen the grin on my face, the F5 was going to town cleaning up..I definitely was feeling the love for the F5 today. I didn't stay to long ,the park was fillin up with people on lunch break. And I don't like to detect when a lot of people around. So it was a good F5 day for me ,I even found a Indian arrow head, tied on a string too!The local natives must have been restless LOL. I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. Suppose to rain Saturday and Sunday , so I'm going out again while i can, while the F5 is
