Even though spots like this one are very Rare to find, they apparently are still out there waiting to be found by one lucky Detectorist and if one take the time to Research, they can be rewarded with Awesome Finds such as these. Thanks again, Good Luck and HH.

This record will be very hard to beat and finds will eventually become harder and harder to find. Sure is fun digging Silver like that while I still can. Good Luck and HH.

I love your explanation of what kind of site it was (below) the detail you gave was amazing. LOL. I have had a few spots (not as good) like that and gave the same detailed explanation when asked.
You have got to love times like that. I bet that the time during the hunt your concentration was so keen that you didn't notice anything but the ground in front of your coil and 8 hours seemed like 20 min. When that happens to me the coins pop out and it is a blast.

It isn't everyday that one finds a site loaded with so much Big Silver in such a short time. Total time was about 7-8 Hours of hunting, which most of the finds came from. Good to hear from you again Eddie and Good Luck and HH in your neck of the Woods. :detecting:

Maybe you just haven't found the right spots to detect at or haven't traveled far enough out of your area to find spots that yeild what you would like to be finding. Research is the #1 Key to Success but driving to other Towns and hitting Ball Diamonds, Parks, Fairgrounds, Etc. can pay off well too if you take the time and Pattern some of these sites. Let me know how you hunt and what, then maybe I can give you a few pointers on being more successful while out hunting. The finds are still out there, you just have to want to find them and not give up so easily. Help is here if needed. Good Luck and HH.

It sure would be great to just hit the open road and hit new area's and have the time to just relax but bills must be paid thus the 4 Letter Word = W O R K ! Good Luck and HH.

I only detected for about a half hour in the park and it was pretty quiet. I hope to do some water detecting this weekend.
Happy Hunting

Very nice work gentlemen. How DEEP was this stuff ... are you going to make me feel bad because I don't have a Minelab yet?

Thanks Silvernail. What kind of Detector are you currently using? If not a Minelab, well this is proof what can be found with one if you know the older sites that the Old Coins like to hide at. I even found a Merc Dime that was directly under a Rusty Bottle Cap which was a first for me. If you have the money, it is a must to own a Minelab if you are serious about detecting like we are. Thanks for the post and Good Luck and HH.:detecting:
