Warrior and Sprite tested

Lee Alexander and myself took the Warrior & Sprite out for testing the other day. We picked the toughest site we could think of. Background info on site...........Plantation, Camped on by both sides for years, and Hospital. Hunted by everyone since 1960's with many different detectors. Loaded in nails and iron behind house. Kitchen dump and civil war dumps throughout flat area. So much iron, constant machine gun popping. Lee tested Deeptech Warrior with Super 6 coil and I tested Vista Sprite with the 11" DD coil. Only coil I have for Sprite right now.
Lee went thru the tough flat with setting......GB 11:00 o clock, Gain 4, Sensitivity 5, Disc 2.5, Volume all the way, and Rej(two tone mode). He tried other settings but these worked the best. He pulled out a nice group of relics that were missed for years. Very impressed with Warrior. I tried the Sprite in nasty iron area but coil is too big to be effective. So, I hunted the sides of the flat where nails thinned out and relics are deep. I cranked up the Sprite with settings.............GB 11, Volume high, Sensitivity on red dot, disc on red dot, and rej mode. I dug some deep relics......horse shoe, musket band, musketball, and piece of brass. Doesn't sound like much to some people but its great for this site.

Nice spot , I know that super 6 makes a big difference.

If you have hunted with the Gold which do you like better for relic hunting and in very irony spots? Thanks

Im leaning toward the Warrior. I took the Vista Gold in there with a Super 6 about a year ago. The VG did well also but the Warrior did find missed relics. I want to try the 5" coil on both machines and see what happens.

Cwtrader, good hunt and information on the detectors used. Keep us posted on your hunts and thoughts on these two machines. Cabin fever is setting in here with the ice storm going on now in N.C....Stuart
